Performance marketing — Lead generation

Smart Tint

Solutions.

Switchable glass has an obvious benefit and almost no search volume. We built the system that captures the demand already out there — and manufactures the demand that isn’t.

Smart film, smart glass and architectural privacy solutions for residential, commercial and construction projects across South Florida. Digiax Studio runs the full acquisition system: search, social, landing pages, tracking and CRM reporting.

( The brief )

A product nobody was searching for.

Smart film does something ordinary tinting can’t: it switches from opaque to clear on demand. Nobody needs the benefit explained twice. The problem is that almost nobody knows to go looking for it in the first place.

That leaves you bidding against established window tinting companies who own the volume, for a product that isn’t really the same category. And it has to land with four buyers at once — homeowners, commercial property owners, and the architects and developers who choose materials years before anything gets installed.

Then there was the part that didn’t exist yet. The Smart Film Ready Program — a pre-wire solution for new construction — had no demand, no category, and a B2B audience that ignores consumer advertising entirely.

01

Educate a market on an emerging technology

02

Out-position established window tinting competitors

03

Reach residential and commercial buyers simultaneously

04

Hold lead volume without losing campaign efficiency

05

Launch a new construction-sector service from zero

( The approach )

Research first. Spend second.

Paid media is easy to start and expensive to start badly. Before anything went live we mapped how this product actually gets bought — where people look, what they compare it against, and the specific moment they hesitate. Every campaign decision traces back to that.

Positioning

Find the gap competitors left.

Competitors were selling film. The buyer was solving privacy, glare and heat. We took apart their ads, landing pages, offers and pricing, then mined reviews and community threads for the language people use before they know the product name — and found demand nobody was bidding on.

Intent

Buy the search, not the traffic.

Commercial-intent terms first, then long-tail and location expansion once the data justified it. Search terms reviewed continuously, negatives added aggressively, bids moved by keyword-level performance. The point was never more clicks — it was fewer wasted ones.

Conversion

Send traffic somewhere built for it.

Paid traffic got its own pages instead of a general-purpose homepage. One proposition per page, mobile-first, fast, short forms, click-to-call, and trust signals positioned exactly where people stall. A click you paid for should never land somewhere it has to fend for itself.

How research feeds targeting, pages and measurement

How research feeds targeting, pages and measurement

( Research )

What we looked at before spending a dollar.

Smart film loses on volume against traditional tinting, so it had to win on precision. That meant understanding the buyer better than the competition did before committing budget to reaching them.

01

Customer buying journeys, mapped from first symptom to quote request

02

Reddit and YouTube threads — the language people use before they know the product name

03

Competitor teardowns across Google and Meta: offers, creative, pricing, landing pages

04

Keyword gap analysis to find intent nobody was bidding against

05

Customer review mining for the objections that actually stall a sale

06

Local Miami demand patterns across residential, commercial and construction

( The website )

The site had to sell a product people had never seen.

Before any budget went to media, the destination had to be worth sending traffic to. We designed and built the site around the one thing that makes smart film obvious — showing it working — then structured it so every service had a page that could rank on its own and convert paid traffic on arrival.

Design

Built around the demo.

Product-led layout with the switch effect front and centre, so the value lands before a visitor has read a word of copy.

Build

Fast, mobile-first, editable.

Clean, scalable WordPress build. Quick on mobile, where most enquiries start, and structured so the team can add services without a developer.

Structure

A page per service.

Separate pages for each service and audience, giving SEO something to rank and paid campaigns somewhere specific to land.

( SEO )

Ranking for a category most people cannot name.

Paid media buys attention for as long as you keep paying. Search earns it. The harder problem here was that the highest-volume terms describe a different product — window tinting — so the organic strategy had to win the specific searches that matter and build visibility for the ones people have not learned to type yet.

01

Technical SEO — speed, crawlability, indexation and site structure

02

On-page optimisation across every service and location page

03

Local SEO for Miami-Dade, Broward and the surrounding market

04

Content built around real buyer questions surfaced in research

05

Search Console monitoring feeding back into paid keyword strategy

Organic and paid share the same keyword research, so what converts in Ads informs what gets optimised in search, and what ranks organically stops needing to be bought.

( Channel performance )

Two channels, one system.

Google catches the people already looking. Meta reaches the far larger group who’d want this if they knew it existed — and creates the searches Google catches later. Neither works as well alone, and both report into the same pipeline.

Proof, published weekly.

This is a product that sells itself on video. A pane of glass going from frosted to clear does more persuading in three seconds than a paragraph ever will, so social is where the category education actually happens.

We manage the channels end to end — content planning, creative production, publishing and community response — built around install footage, finished projects and the switch effect itself. It feeds the Meta campaigns with creative already proven organically, and gives every homeowner researching a supplier the social proof they check for before enquiring.

New service launch

Smart Film Ready Program.

Wiring installed before the walls close, so smart glass stays an option later instead of becoming a renovation.

There was no category to advertise into and no audience already searching. We built the positioning, the messaging, the landing pages, the keyword strategy, the audience targeting and both ad channels from a blank page — aimed at people who specify materials for a living and have no patience for consumer advertising.

219 qualified leads from developers, architects, contractors and builders at $22.98 each — for a specialised B2B service with no prior market awareness.

( Measurement )

If it isn't tracked, it didn't happen.

Tracking went in before optimisation started, not after. Without it you are optimising toward whichever number happens to be visible, which is how budget quietly goes to the campaigns that look busiest rather than the ones that sell.

Smart Film Ready Program

Launched

( Why it worked )

Nothing here was a growth hack.

Every competitor in Miami has access to the same channels. The difference was sequence and ownership: one team built the site, ranked it, ran the ads and produced the social. Research feeds the pages, the pages feed the campaigns, and organic performance changes what is worth paying for.

Chasing traffic would have been simpler and would have produced a better-looking impressions chart. Building a lead system produced 2,990 tracked conversion actions at $29.77 and a new service line launched into a market that had no idea it wanted one.

That system is the asset. The campaigns are just what it happens to be running today.

What the business has now isn’t a set of campaigns, it’s a system — research feeding targeting, targeting feeding pages, pages feeding tracking, tracking feeding the next decision. The Smart Film Ready launch proved it works for something that didn’t exist yet, which means the next service launch is a process rather than a gamble.
